Some call it chaos we call it family. Today I am thankful for my family. It can get crazy, loud, chaotic, stressful, kid and emotion filled but it's my family. They're my people. The ones who have my back. The ones who support me. The ones who at times cry with me, laugh with me, fight with me, who helped mold me and who protect me.
Not everyone has such a family. Not everyone can feel so loved. Not everyone has so many kids who want to be with them no matter how long they've been apart. They pick right back up where we were. They are special like that. They are examples of how we should love just as Christ loves. Sure they may cry. They may fight and they may be obnoxious or annoying at times, but they are an extension of your family. They all need guidance. They all need prayers. They all need to be lead. Not just the kids, but everyone. Not just your family, but everyone that you meet in life. It's not too late for Christ in their life. Full blown life changing God in their life. They need it. They might not know it, but they want that. They want the peace, the understanding, the joy, the clarity and the faith in an everlasting God. They search for it, but like many they search in the wrong places. You have to show them. You have to lead them to the trough even if they don't drink now maybe in time they will. When they get hungry enough, when they get desperate enough, when they realize their need they will drink. Don't give up on them. They are depending on you. They need to see God in you and not just the God that they see on the TV, but the real true life saving God. They can only do that if you are the right example. The non judgemental, not hypocritical, ever loving, ever praying ever hopeful person.
Sure you'll mess up, we all will but you just have to ask for forgiveness. Let them see that you made a mistake that you need grace that you need forgiveness. It won't be easy, but it'll be right. It's God's plan. His goal. He wants the whole world to love him, to need him, to praise and worship Him. He needs you to do your part. He could do it on His own, but He doesn't want to. He wants do use you. To give you the opportunity to help change someone’s life. To let you feel the emotion...the joy and happiness when you lead someone to Christ, when you know that they will rest in heavenly peace and not be tormented in the depths of Hell. What's your excuse? What's your explanation for not trying, for not loving, for not living and for having unreal expectations?
God will guide you, direct you, and help you it’s a promise He always makes. Will you let Him? Will you let Him use you to make a change? To be the difference in someone’s life? To be the example they need, the person they need when they need them. It may be difficult, but it'll be worth it. Trust Him, love them, pray for them, laugh with them, really love them beyond measure, beyond what you think you can, beyond what the world measures, beyond what they think and beyond what they believe they need. Love is the answer in this, in life and in the world. We have enough hate, enough division, enough my side is better than yours. We need unity, we need light, we need core values and biblical mind frames.
Get your foundation. Read God's word, seek His face and be ready to be used. He's got amazing plans for you, but you just have to say Yes Lord. Yes God, I'll go send me, I'll go send me to the lost, to the hurting, to the people that need loved, to the people that need grace, to the people that no one else will love. We're all family in the body of Christ. We are all brothers and sisters so don't set limitations, don't set boundaries, don't set God in a box. He's bigger than any box you can find and He works more "magic" than you think He can. So stop fighting. Stop trying to understand His plan for you. Just say the simple words Yes God. I'm here. I'm your vessel. Use me Lord and be prepared to have your socks knocked off, your expectations exceeded, and your life to be changed. He's the answer to your problems. The world’s problems and your heart’s problem. Let him out of the box. Let him reign and let him ultimately be in control of everything, not just certain parts. You'll be happier. It really is better and it really is they way it was meant to be. Give it a try.
Could life really get any worse? Could the world really get more divided, more stressful or more hurtful? I don't think so I think it can change. It will change, but it's time for God's people to rise up, to seek His face, to pray and to remember all sin is equal. Your deceitful heart isn't any different than someone else's sin. We all fall short of God's glory. We all sin. You better pull that plank out of your eye and stop focusing on your neighbors tooth pick. It does not work that way. It never did. If you thought it did you were wrong. So rise up. Be the peacemaker, the love giving, grace showing God vessel you are created to be. He has you. He'll use you. He'll mold and make you into what He needs. Will you be ready when He calls, when he knocks, when He says Go, now is the time. Your journey is starting, your mission is counting down to lift off. Your future is just the beginning. Submit. Let go of your life, your pride, your meager little plans, because God's got something so much better if you would just trust and let go!
